8:30 at Cranmore and the place is a hive of activity in preparation for the forthcoming Steam Dream Weekend. In the background 5637 is sat on a low loader having returned from the Mid Hants Railway and in the foreground preparations are being made for the crane offloading of the four wagons. One of the low-loaders with a 'Tube' wagons is backed in position ready for offloading. The Crane lowers the lifting chains ready for securing round the wagon. The chains are attached round parts of the chasis in preparation for lifting. The Crane gradually lifts the wagon from the low-loader. The Crane gradually lifts the wagon from the lowloader. Once the wagon has been lifted sufficiently high enough the lorry is driven out of the way. The crane gradually swings the wagon across to siding, guided by people on the ground. Having lined the wheels up, the crane lowers the wagon down onto the tracks. Having lined the wheels up, the crane lowers the wagon down onto the tracks. The chains are unhooked, ready for another wagon. A view from the raised area of the Tanker Sidings showing the offloading of the final wagon, a "tube" with a canopy. This wagon was part of a tunnel inspection train and the "roof" was to provide safe access to allow engineers to inspect the underside of the tunnel roof. It will be put to a new use at Cranmore fighting overhanging vegeitation safely, thus preserving the paint on the coaches.
