WELCOME TO THE FRIENDLY RAILWAY 

Join us for an exclusive weekend with Paddington™ 20th & 21st June.  Our friends at Fox and Edwards Events will be taking care of all the bookings for this exciting childrens' event direct - Paddington™.

We will be back to normal running every Wednesday, Thursday and weekends, please view our timetable for dates.  

We have lots of events and experiences for you to enjoy throughout the year.

Tickets enable you to travel on multiple trains and spend the day at Cranmore.

We have a well stocked shop and the Station Cafe provides a delicious range of food and snacks 5 days a week.

Meet Paddington™ on...

Come and meet Paddington™ on 20th & 21st June at intervals throughout the day at East Somerset Railway. Begin your journey at Cranmore Station, where you will enjoy a scenic steam train journey through the scenic Somerset countryside to Mendip Vale. Every child will receive a complimentary activity sheet, crayon, biscuit, and juice to enjoy during the journey. When you return to the station, Paddington will be waiting to meet families, wave hello, and pose for photos, so don’t forget your camera!

The friendly steam railway

We provide a large, free car park, a short walk from Cranmore Station.  This main station building houses The Station Cafe and Toilets at ground level, the Ticket Office and Shop at platform level.  For the children there is a Play Area situated next to the café patio, so the adults can enjoy some refreshments while the kids let off steam!
 
The Station Café is open Wednesday to Sunday 9:30am - 3:30pm and the Ticket Office and Shop are open 9.30am - 3.30pm, seven days a week when we are in season.  Visit The Station Café website here .
 
As well as steam train rides we have many special events for visitors to enjoy throughout our season, plus a variety of dining trains to savour and for the enthusiast, footplate experiences to get up close to the wonder of steam!  Our station waiting room replica museum at the end of the platform, hosts an interesting selection of memorabilia and is one not to miss. 
 
East Somerset Models is an independent shop based in a small building on the left side of the car park.  They stock a wide range of model railway items, please see their website HERE for opening times and further details.
